Readings and discussion of themes from Tracksuits, Traumas and Class Traitors by D.P. Hunter, hosted by Solidarity Economy Association

3-5pm, Sunday 29 November, 2020

Practices of solidarity economy and transformative justice are woven into the social fabric of communities at the sharp end of the neoliberal system – often invisible to, and ignored by, people outside those communities. D.P. Hunter has written about his own experiences at the bottom end of the British class system in his two books, ‘Chav Solidarity’ and ‘Tracksuits, Traumas and Class Traitors’, and examples of solidarity and collective survival practices are interwoven throughout this work. What would supporting and learning from these practices and communities look like?
